COMMUNICATORS' FORUM
Effective Communication in Polarized Times

Thursday, September 26, 2024 • 2:30 - 4:30 p.m.
In person only at the Robertson Auditorium, Michigan Ross

Dr. Arthur Lupia

Please join us for the fall Communicators' Forum featuring Interim Vice President for Research and Innovation Dr. Arthur Lupia, who is an expert on how people process information, make decisions, and form coalitions in complex, political environments. Relevant to our Vision 2034 Year of Democracy, Civic Empowerment, and Global Engagement, Vice President Lupia will show how findings from research on human attention and memory can help communicators be more effective in a wide array of environments. You'll walk away knowing how to learn about what an audience wants, how to gain attention without sacrificing credibility, and how to establish trust — even in polarized environments.

During the forum, you'll also hear from Vice President for Communications Richie Hunter, who will moderate a panel discussion with several of our communications colleagues.

Please note: afternoon session. Refreshments will be served from 2:30-3 p.m. The in-person presentation will start promptly at 3:00 p.m. We hope to see you there!
