Please join us as Jack Bernard, U-M associate general counsel, explores issues at the confluence of civil liberties and civil rights. He'll discuss the tensions that emerge from balancing a commitment to free speech with having an inclusive, welcoming campus, and will take a look at the constraints and obligations that come with being a public institution. You'll have an opportunity to ask questions, both during and after the presentation.
Morning refreshments will be served from 8:30 - 8:50 a.m.
The in-person presentation will start promptly at 9 a.m. We hope to see you there!
